We highly encourage our audience to have brunch and/or dinner/drinks at next door’s Grand Central Market with your choice of dozens of cuisines. You can bring Grand Central Market food and drink into the theater.
Be prepared that we may have to use a DCP.digital backup for unexpected reasons. But when we say 35mm that means we have secured a 35mm print for this event!

PARKING: Please note that we have a limited number of validated parking tickets available at the Grand Central Market Parking Garage, 308 S Hill St, Los Angeles, CA 90013 accessible on Hill Street just past 3rd Street. Please make sure to purchase a validated parking ticket here as an ADD ON and we will hand it to you when you enter the theater. There are also very close parking lots at the corner of 3rd and Hill Street, just a half block from theater. However we can't offer validation for those lots. . .yet.

Secret Movie Club launches its next three August dates-Sunday, August 10, Saturday, August 23, and Sunday, August 31, 2025. For August 23rd & 31st, 2025, stay tuned. Those two days will be themed with movies playing from morning to evening, many on 35mm.
Today, we kick off our continuing return to screening with Trey Parker & Matt Stone's 1999's South Park: Bigger, Longer, & Uncut. On a 35mm print.
Why? Well if you caught South Park's Season 27 premiere a few weeks ago, you know Parker & Stone have lost almost none of their Colorado contrarian satirist punk rock comedy approach. The episode shocked and delighted a country worried that maybe our movie and TV artists had lost their daring voices.
That made us want to salute and celebrate American satire with one of the greatest movie satires ever made. Parker & Stone's 1999 feature length animated musical.
The foul mouthed 10 year old South Park crew-Stan, Kyle, Cartman, and Kenny-sneak into a foul mouthed R-rated comedy starring their two favorite Canadian comedians-Terrence & Phillip.
When their parents hear them singing profanity at home, they decide to take ownership for their parenting and. . .blame Canada.
This starts a war and a never-ending musical that ultimately draws in Saddam Hussein, Conan O Brien, and even Satan himself.
Over their 30 year career, Parker and Stone have just about offended everyone from liberals to conservatives to parents to celebrities. And that's wonderful. This writer comes from a family where the first rule was to learn to laugh at yourself and not take yourself or anyone else too seriously.
Maybe a way of being that might help everyone on all political sides to come together and laugh. At ourselves. And maybe even come together again.
Or not.
But until that time, let's all get together in a movie palace and watch a comedy classic. On 35mm. And sing. Lots of bad words.

HOW DOES PARKING WORK?
We have a limited number of parking validations ($10/ticket) for the Grand Central Market Parking Garage 308 S Hill St, Los Angeles, CA 90013 accessible on Hill Street just past 3rd Street. Purchase validation here as an ADD ON and we will give to you at theater. There are many nearby lots as well.
ARE THERE CONVENIENT PUBLIC TRANSIT WAYS TO GET TO MILLION DOLLAR THEATER?
The nearest metro stop is Persian Square Station (500 S Hill St, Los Angeles, CA 90013) about a 2-3 block walk from the entrance to the Million Dollar Theater. You can also use the Million Dollar Theater or Grand Central Market as destination/pick up for ride sharing apps.
WILL THERE BE CONCESSIONS SOLD AT THE THEATER?
Yes! We always serve fresh popped popcorn, a wide selection of candy, sodas, sparkling water, coffee, and sometimes even wine and beer. You can also bring in food and drink from the Grand Central Market just next door if you want to grab a meal before a screening.
IS SEATING RESERVED OR FIRST COME FIRST SERVE?
For now, our seating is first come, first serve. We may have reserved seating for future events but you would know as you would be directed to choose a seat from remaining available seats upon ticket purchase. For now, if you want best seat selection, come when we open doors 1 hr before showtime.
