LOCATION: The Secret Movie Club Theater, 1917 Bay Street, 2nd Floor, Los Angeles, CA 90021

*Please note entrance/parking is in the back of the 1917 Bay St building. Our entrance is NOT on Bay Street. You access our entrance from Wilson Street by turning into the street art alleyway/corridor in the back of the building. Follow our signs posted on Wilson and in the corridor to guide you to our entrance.

3pm 2024 OSCARS PARTY (please note doors will open at 230pm)

One of the elements Secret Movie Club wants to develop this year are more community-focused parties/events for our moviemakers and movielovers.

So what better way to kick off 2024 then with our 2024 Oscars Party at the Secret Movie Club Theater! We'll open the doors at 230pm and have the show live-streaming (from on-the-carpet through final credits) on our big screen!

We ask that everyone dress up (however you want to interpret that). We'll have our own version of a red carpet and step-and-repeat in the theater.

The event will be catered with vegan and non-vegan appetizers and a glass of champagne. This is all part of your ticket!

We'll also be selling our regular concessions including our affordable wine and beer options throughout the whole night.

If you want, you can also participate in our ballot game for $2/person (bring cash!). If you participate, you'll get two ballots (or you can just bring your ballots printed and already filled out). One you fill out with who you think WILL win. The other you fill out with who you WANT to win.

Throughout the night, we'll be tallying both on two big ballots at the front of theater. The guests who get the most number of picks right split the pot!

Plus throughout the night, we'll have occasional trivia questions, prizes, and invite folks to come up and give their own versions of Oscar speeches.

This is a chance to party with like-minded people, discuss the Oscars, movie pop culture, dress up, hobnob, mingle, with all the movie love and hopefully very little of the movie attitude.

We want to thank our Event Producer Jessica Rioneiro for coming up with so many great ideas to make this party a blast.

*Please note that though we strive to always show titles on 35mm film if advertised, we may have to screen digitally if the print we receive is in such bad shape or if we don't receive the print in time because of a shipping delay. We will do our best to alert the audience. When this does occur, we will offer each ticket holder who chooses not to attend a complimentary ticket to a future event in exchange. (Disclaimer: Good for 90 days – Future screening must have available tickets, cannot be a fundraiser, and must be comparably priced)

REFUNDS:

We can offer refunds up to 24 hours before showtime. Please request a refund through Eventbrite and we will process ASAP. After that, no refunds. Sorry.

However if something last minute comes up and you can’t make the screening, for whatever reason, just write to us before showtime: community@secretmovieclub.com and we’ll offer you complimentary tickets to a future screening, good for 90 days. (Disclaimer: Future screening must have available tickets, cannot be a fundraiser, and must be comparably priced)

HELPFUL SECRET MOVIE CLUB (1917 Bay Street, 2nd Floor, LA, CA 90021) THEATER PARKING TIPS:

We recommend that you park just outside our theater. Remember our theater is actually in a beautiful street art alleyway in the back of the 1917 Bay Street building. You get to our entrance by taking a right on Wilson, then a right behind the building. We are the first set of black steps on the right after the big gate.

There is also a parking lot at the corner of Mateo and Violet Street, just 2 blocks from our theater, which costs $7 per car.
